Jrock 2012
On Friday the 15th of June the Jrock group performed at Baycourt theatre. They were noticed for there performance and got given an award. The story of there performance is about a girl who is the main character tries out for a dance act but gets turned down for her extremely large feet. She gives up her dream and goes to work at Freds Food. She gets known as the dancing waitress but then she decides to give her dreams another try.

The amazing urban hip hop dance group
On Thursday 30th of May 2012 urban hip hop group performed at Tauranga Intermediate School.They talked to us about bullying.They performed bullying by dancing and is about how a girl always got left out.When she started dancing people started to want to know her..They had a competition who was a good dancer and the top 3 would get a t-shirt with urban hip hop on it and it came in different color.Urban hip hop dance group was fundraising to go to los angeles to compete in dancing.

The missing students from TIS were found safe and well at 10:40 last night and walked back to camp with search and rescue teams.

Kids believed to be from matai lost in the ngamuwahine bush this afternoon after they did not return from an orienteering exercise. Search and rescue teams and 2 helicopters searching for them tonight
and they are in for a cold night so I hope they get found soon. They think there is about 10 kids missing.

Maths in room 17
Today In class we are learning measurements.There are 3 groups blue group,red group and green group.My group(the red group) were learning the metric system.We done questions like convert 20cm to mm.Today I learn't most of the metric system.I'm still a bit shaky on converting the measurements but I think that I'm doing pretty good.
Technical Language Features with Room 26
Today in room 26 we were using technical language to describe common words. Our teacher, Miss Lockett, told us to guess what the technical language matches with. I was happy with getting them all right. An example is video cassette player - remote.

Student Teacher Mathmatics
We have had the student teachers in recently for maths. They taught us about statistics and graphs.Our goal was to create a stem and leaf graph from data we were given. I already had information about stem and leaf graphs but I was not positive on how they worked.I still need to work on taking data and putting it into a graph but I learnt how to find the mode (Most common result) and the median (The middle result). I still think I need some more work overall just to remember it after a while but I think I am doing ok.
Learning Long Division
In class my maths group was learning how to work out long division. I learnt how to work long division out but it needs some working on, specifically when dividing by two digit numbers. For example 1028 / 10. I will let you know how I get on!
